To my younger self,
I’m now in a completely different time and space.
But I want you to know a few crucial things anyways.
I wish I could have known some of the things that I know now.
I wish I could tell you about what, why, and how.
I wish you had known about the people around you.
So just like me, you could have been prepared too.
I wish you would know how valuable the small things are,
Like your favorite song or those chocolates filled in a jar.
I mistook happiness with something that cost an arm and a leg,
But remember, this kind of happiness forces you to beg.
I wish I could have pulled myself together on my own,
Maybe then, I wouldn’t have turned into a stone.
I wish you had someone like me,
To sail through the hardships, even in a dead sea.
